On Sunday, May 25th, the 2025 Concours in the Village brought timeless automotive beauty to the streets of Pinehurst, North Carolina. As part of the annual Sandhills Motoring Expo, the event showcased over 120 handpicked automobiles, drawing collectors, enthusiasts, and curious onlookers alike to the heart of the historic village.

With 15 vehicle classes and a special spotlight on Italian Sports Cars, the show celebrated a broad spectrum of automotive artistry—from precision-engineered exotics to elegant pre-war classics. The best part? It was entirely free and open to the public, making world-class design and heritage accessible to all.

Among the many head-turning vehicles, one stood out in particular: a stunning Delahaye, a classic French luxury automobile renowned for its sweeping fenders, vertical grille, and unmistakable Art Deco styling. Known as one of the most iconic pre-war sports cars, the Delahaye 135 series has long been a favorite at prestigious concours events around the world.

Pat was on hand to capture the beauty and soul of the 1949 Delahaye 135MS

through her sketch work, adding another layer of artistry to the day. With its elegance and historic charm, the car—and the entire event—served as a vivid reminder of how both automotive and fine art can stop us in our tracks.

Congratulations to the owners as the Delahaye won Best in Show for Touring and Best in Class - European Sports Classic.
