A Day at Aberdeen Lake Park

Another beautiful day for painting! Today, I ventured into the nearby town of Aberdeen, a charming and growing community just outside of Pinehurst. With its ever-expanding selection of restaurants, local shops, the Artists League, a few breweries, and a welcoming park—what’s not to love?
I ended up settling into a quiet, shady spot at Aberdeen Lake Park. The sky today was breathtaking—layered with fluffy, dramatic clouds that made for the perfect backdrop. I couldn’t resist capturing the serene white gazebo overlooking the lake, its reflection dancing on the still water.
There’s something deeply peaceful about painting outdoors, surrounded by the rhythm of nature and small-town charm. Moments like these are a reminder of why I paint—to hold on to the beauty in front of us and translate it into lasting visual stories.
Thank you, Aberdeen, for the inspiration. I’ll definitely be back!
