PAT McBRIDE

Image.png

Based in the storied town of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Pat McBride is a fine artist whose work captures the quiet beauty and emotional resonance of everyday moments. With a brush in hand and a deep appreciation for atmosphere, Pat is often seen around the historic village, painting on location or sketching scenes that reflect the character of the people and places she encounters.
Before embracing the canvas full-time, Pat served as an illustrator in the FBI’s Special Projects Division, where she helped create the agency’s “Ten Most Wanted” posters and played a pivotal role in identifying a serial killer in the 1980s. Her background in forensic illustration and photo retouching shaped her ability to observe—and portray—the human experience with precision and empathy.
Today, Pat brings that same eye for detail and storytelling to her oil paintings and sketches. Her traditional techniques and mastery of light and shadow infuse each piece with both realism and emotional depth. Works such as "Southern Charm" and "Ethereal Elegance" exemplify her gift for capturing tranquility, grace, and the subtle moments that often go unnoticed.
Whether through a quiet porch scene or the gentle curve of a profile, Pat invites viewers to see the world not just as it is—but as it feels.
